Harmony Farms, located in Cocoa, Florida, is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization, providing equine assisted therapy and activities to  disabled individuals of all ages, to improve their physical, mental and emotional well being.

It’s been two years since Harmony Farms hosted Blizzard at the Barn, our annual family day and craft fair. While the pandemic briefly kept us from opening our barn doors to the wider community, our therapeutic riding program remained strong and our purpose of helping those in the community that can benefit from the healing power of horses has never wavered.

Harmony Farms is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism!
These funds will help keep our program running, feed our horses, replace critical fencing at the facility and provide 2 scholarships to new riders.

Since all fundraising events have been curtailed through the pandemic, we are experiencing a large deficit in income. We not only have to keep the facility operating, we have many hungry mouths to feed! We are proud to be servicing 60 riders each week, and provide training and experience to many great volunteers.

This grant will basically help keep the barn doors open! "We are grateful for the support and involvement from the Flutie Foundation for several years", said Pam Rogan, Executive Director.
The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, based in Framingham, MA awards grants annually through a competitive application and review process.

"The Flutie Foundation Signature Grants help our partner agencies address a variety of significant needs in the autism community", says Nick Savarese, Executive Director of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. "Programs like these are helping people on the autism spectrum live life to the fullest and we are proud to support their efforts."

The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism (DFJFA) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation helping programs and partnerships, DFJFA helps people with autism get access to care, lead more active lifestyles, and grow toward adult independence.

NFL Quarterback Doug Flutie and his wife Laurie, whose personal experience raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired their passion to help other families, established the Foundation in 1998. DFJFA primarily serves families throughout New England, New York, New Jersey and Central Florida.
